Hempstead beat Blanco 35-12 in the 2A Division I quarterfinals in Bastrop. The Bobcats advance to face Tatum in the semifinals next week. The Eagles slipped past Crockett 34-33 in Athens. Hempstead and Tatum are set to play Friday at Waco ISD Stadium.

In 2A Division II Lexington wins again to set up a rematch with No. 1 Refugio Friday at Heroes Stadium in San Antonio. The Eagles rolled past Arp 47-20 in Waco tonight.

Burton got revenge on defending state champion Falls City Friday night in Buda.
