Madisonville Earns Thrilling 34-28 Victory Over Crockett

With their homecoming celebration in full force and coming off of two straight losses, the Madisonville Mustangs had a lot on the line hosting Crockett Friday night.

Down 14-7 at the half, the Mustangs would come back to defeat a fiery Crockett team that had the lead with less than a minute to go in the game.

Madisonville would take a 21 - 14 lead in the 3rd quarter after Brent McCould took a Crockett pass back the other way for 6 points.

But Crockett would return the favor, scoring a defensive touchdown on their own to give themselves a 28-21 lead.

Madisonville would score from 8 yards out but the Mustangs miss the PAT to stay behind 28-27.

But after some incredible defensive play, Madisonville has a chance to win it and they do. Quarterback Tyji Whaley finds Alex Green in the corner of the end zone and Madisonville wins it 34-28.
