NAVASOTA, Texas -- Navasota claimed a 36-8 win over Coldspring in a battle of state ranked teams Friday night at Rattler Stadium.

No. 3 Navasota scored first on a 20-yard Kadarius Baker to Solomon McGinty touchdown toss, but No. 3 Coldspring answered with a Alfred Scott one-yard score and a two-point conversion to take an 8-7 lead.

However the Rattlers scored the final 29 points, including a 43-yard touchdown run by Howard Horn to put Navasota up for good.

Baker threw four touchdown passes in the game, and the Rattlers improve to 2-0 on the season. They will host Houston Sterling next Friday.

Coldspring has another tough contest at La Marque.
