WACO -- Navasota scored three defensive touchdowns but it still was not enough to top number one ranked Tyler Chapel Hill Friday night in Waco. The Bulldogs eliminated the Rattlers for the second year in a row, this time 56-46.
The two teams battled back and forth throughout the night, but the Bulldogs got the clincher on a 65 touchdown run with 1:30 left to play.
Navasota's season ends in the quarterfinals for the fifth season in a row. The Rattlers finish 2011 with an 11-2 record.
The Bulldogs are 13-0 and one win away from a second straight appearance in the state championship game.
