BRYAN -- The Rudder football team will host El Campo Friday night at Merrill Green Stadium in the team's home opener. Rudder is coming off a 36-7 loss to Elgin. The Ricebirds beat Waller 31-0 last Friday in their season opener.

Rudder head coach C.M. Pier says El Campo is a physical team "They run a wing T type offense, they are going to run that sweep. They have a big tight end they like to dump the ball to and they will split him out and throw it to him so he presents a real challenge there. Their offensive line has a lot of good players and they have nice size so from a defensive standpoint they are going to be very tough to stop."

Rudder and El Campo will kick-off at 7:30 Friday night at Merrill Green Stadium. You can see how the Rangers fared on Taco Bell's Friday Football Fever. The show will kick-off at 11:35 Friday night.
