COLLEGE STATION, TX -- The A&M Consolidated Tigers picked up their first victory of the season last week with a come from behind win over Temple 33-30. The lead changed hands six times before the Tigers won their homecoming game. Quintin White rushed for nearly 200 yards and his second touchdown run of the game give Consol the lead for good with about a minute left to play.
After coming so close in their first three games, Head Coach David Raffield said it was nice for the players to finally be rewarded with a win, but with a short week, there wasn't much time to reminisce past the weekend.
"We had a lot of fun on Friday night," said Raffield. "The kids played great. it was great for the morale on homecoming weekend. Everybody drug in here on Monday and said, 'Uh oh, we have a game in 3 days so let's get after it.' So, we're excited to play."
The Tigers beat the Eagles a year ago at Tigerland 43-25. Kickoff is set for 7pm Thursday night at Leo Buckley Stadium in Killeen.
