BRYAN, TX -- After a trio of losses last week the A&M Consolidated Tigers, Bryan Vikings and Rudder Rangers will all be looking for wins Friday night.
The Vikings will host Belton and need a win to keep its playoff chances alive. Bryan has lost 3 in a row. Kick-off is set for 7:30 at Merrill Green Stadium.
The Temple Wildcats improved their playoff chances with a 20-12 win over Ellison Thursday night. Temple (4-2) is now a 1/2 game back of A&M Consolidated (4-1) in the district race. Belton (3-2) and Harker Heights (3-2) are tied for 4th with Bryan (2-3) just a game back, but still with a chance to earn a playoff spot with two wins and some help.
The A&M Consolidated Tigers could help their crosstown rivals with a win over Harker Heights Friday. Tomorrow night's game will mark the final home regular season contest at Tigerland Stadium. Tigers are coming off a 23-21 loss to 12-5A district leader Copperas Cove.
During halftime of the Consol - HHK game, CSISD will honor the 1991 Class 4A State Championship team. Kickoff is set for 7:30 in College Station.
The Rudder Rangers have not won a district game this year and can't make the playoffs in 2011, but can have a say in who will from District 16-4A. The Rangers will battle Pflugerville Connally on the road Friday. The Cougars need a win to keep its playoff hopes alive.
