BRYAN, TX -- After a season opening win over Round Rock McNeil (35-28) at Merrill Green Stadium last Friday, the Bryan Vikings will be on the road Thursday night down at Woodforest Bank Stadium in Shenandoah to take on College Park.
The Vikings built a 35-7 lead last week only to give up 21 unanswered points and had to hold off a Maverick rally to win its season opener.
Head Coach Bob Bellard is hopeful if his Vikes have a lead Thursday night that they will be able to finish.
"You talk about how great teams do that and you need to go make the plays that are necessary to go get that done," said Bellard. "You have to stay hungry when you are ahead and just not be content to be a little bit up, you need to go out and pound them."
Kickoff is set for 7pm Thursday night at Woodforest Bank Stadium.
KBTX's John Wilson will be in Shenandoah and provide highlights on News 3 @ 10 on Thursday evening and more on Taco Bell's Friday Football Fever at 11:37pm on KBTX.
