BRYAN -- After a season opening road victory at Clear Springs the Bryan Vikings will play at Merrill Green Stadium for the first time Friday night against Round Rock McNeil.
A year ago the Vikings picked up a 28-20 victory over the Mavericks in Round Rock.
Although Bryan won their season opener, head coach Bob Bellard thinks there is plenty of work yet to be done.
"I feel very good about our first win. It's just right now I expect to see a lot of progress this week. There's a lot of things that we need to correct and I think we've addressed those. We've shown signs of improvement this week and hopefully our kids are going to be able to go on and take the next step and go be a better football team."
The Vikings will only get four games at their home stadium this season.
"We're not going to be able to do it very many times this year," says Bellard. "We need to take advantage of this opportunity to play at our stadium and hopefully play well."
