COLLEGE STATION -- Senior forward Ashlee Pistorius was selected as the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week after tallying four goals and assist on the weekend, the league office announced Tuesday.
The four goals earned Pistorius the top spot in the conference for most goals (8). On Friday against Tulsa, the senior All-American had a foot in all three goals as she scored the gamewinner in the 10th minute. She recorded her second goal 25 minutes later before dishing off an assist to sophomore defender Nicole Ketchum to seal the 3-0 shutout.
Against Rice, she was responsible for the second and third goals of the game. Pistorius ranks second in the Big 12 career standings for goals scored (64) and is 14 away from tying the Aggie all-time record.
Pistorius and the 4th-ranked Aggies take to the road as they open Big 12 play against the Missouri Tigers Friday night in Columbia, Mo. The match is set to begin at 6:30 p.m.
