COLLEGE STATION -- The Texas A&M softball program, is thrilled to announce the scheduling of a winter hitting camp on Jan. 12 and 13 on the Texas A&M campus.
A&M head coach Jo Evans and hitting coach Mary Jo Firnbach, along with current and former Aggie softball players, will offer instruction to campers ranging in age from 12 to 18 years.
During a four-hour session each camper will receive hands-on instruction as they rotate through multiple hitting stations designed to improve each aspect of their swing and approach at the plate.
Each of the three sessions is limited to the first 80 campers in order to maximize instruction and repetition. Interested players are encouraged to sign up early and get a jump start on the spring season.
Participants will have the opportunity to hone their hitting skills inside the indoor facility, located directly across the street from the Aggie Softball Complex, that provides three full-length cages as well as extra floor space that allows for a comfortable and safe experience.
Registration for the winter camp is now open. Applications and online registration are available by logging on to: http:/www.aggieathletics.com/camps.php
