It was a happy homecoming for Navasota as the Rattlers scored a late touchdown to fend off Cleveland 21-14 Friday night.

The home team led it 14-to-6 at the break.

But, in the fourth quarter, the Indians' Steven Robertson scored his second touchdown of the night.

The four-yard plunge cut Navasota's lead to, 14-12.

Robertson then bulled his way right up the middle for the two-point conversion to tie the game at 14 with 4:31 to go in the fourth.

That deadlock lasted three plays.

On Navasota's ensuing possession, Dexter Pratt hauled in a middle screen, got a jarring block from Brandall Jackson, than set sail 68 yards for the winning touchdown at the 3:29 mark.

Cleveland falls to 0-&-5 heading in to its open date.

Navasota improves to 2-&-1.

The Rattlers host Coldspring next.

Also, at the half Friday, Anna Amaya was named Homecoming Queen.
