BREMOND, TX -- The Bremond Tigers had trouble finding the endzone in the first half, but didn't let it keep them down as they rallied in the second half to beat 2A Leon 26-14.

Leon found the endzone on its opening drive on a 1 yard touchdown run by Jay Hayes.

Bremond's offense couldn't answer, but their defense keep the Cougars in check.

In the second quarter Leon quarterback Kirby Watson was looking to increase the Leon lead.

On a 4th and goal call from the 10, Watson keeps it and stops him at the 2 yard line by Bremond's Ryan Redieta.

Late in the first half, Bremond's D answers the call again - Travis Tubbs strips the ball out of Watson's hands and Jefrey Drymalla falls on it for the recovery.

Bremond will outscore Leon 26-7 over the final 26 minutes to pick up its first win of the season.

It also marked head coach Bruce Brignac's first win as the Tigers head football coach.

Bremond will host Normangee next Friday at Tiger Stadium with the kick-off set for 7:30, while Leon will return home to host New Waverly at 7:30pm.
