College Station -- A&M Consolidated dropped their homecoming game to Temple 35 - 34 Friday night at Tiger Stadium. The loss puts the Tigers at 1 and 1 in district 13-5A play. The Wildcats move to 2 and 0 in district play.
Consol got on the board first when Marshall Cashion ran for a 19 yard touchdown. The Tigers would score the first 14 points of the contest.
Temple got on the board in the second quarter when Quentin Tuck scores on a six yard run. That cut the Consol lead to 14 - 7. The Tigers made it a two score game again on a Cashion one yard touchdown run.
Temple answers that with an Adrian Brown two yard touchdown run late in the second quarter to cut the Tiger lead to 21 - 14 at the half.
Temple scored first in the third quarter. Lache Seastrunk outran the Tiger defense 50 yards for a touchdown that would tie the game at 21. Cashion would find the end zone again on a two yard run to give the Tigers a 28 - 21 lead. The Wildcats would even things at 28 on a Quentin Tuck 15 yard touchdown run.
Consol would take their final lead on a Cashion one yard touchdown run. The extra point was no good. Temple get the equalizer on a Tuck touchdown run late in the fourth quarter. The Wildcats make their extra point to take a 35 - 34 lead. Consol would try and 45 yard field to win it but the attempt fell short.
The Tigers have a short week to work with. They will be on the road in Killeen Thursday night to face Ellison at 7:00.
