LOS ANGELES (AP) - Backup quarterback Tavita Pritchard threw a
10-yard touchdown pass to Mark Bradford on fourth-and-goal with 49
seconds left to give Stanford a 24-23 win over second-ranked
Southern California.
The Trojans entered the game a 41-point favorite over the
Cardinal.
Stanford moved 45 yards in 11 plays for the winning touchdown
after John David Booty threw the third of his four interceptions.
Bradford's leading grab in the corner of the end zone left the
Coliseum crowd of more than 85,000 in stunned silence. The loss
snapped the Trojans' 35-game home winning streak.
Southern California dropped to 4-and-1 overall and 2-and-1 in
the Pac-10. Stanford is 2-and-4 and 1-and-3 in conference play.
Pritchard was filling in for the injured T.C. Ostrander
(OH'-stran-dur) and finished 11-of-30 passing for 149 yards.
