The top-11 teams in this week's Division I Volleyball poll remain the same with 2006 national runner-up Western Nebraska Community College (Scottsbluff, Neb.) in the top spot in the for the fifth-consecutive week. The Cougars are again followed by 2004 runner-up Salt Lake Community College (Salt Lake City, Utah) in second and 2006 fifth-place finisher Blinn College (Brenham, Texas) in third.
Western Nebraska has improved to 36-1 overall with a wins over Casper, Lamar, Otero and Trinidad last week. The Cougars are led by Jennifer Eichler (3.7 kpg), Aida Bauza (3.3 kpg) and Fatima Balza (2.6 kpg, 1.2 bpg), Shawntell Jones (1.5 kpg, 1.2 bpg), Soriana Pacheco (10.5 assists pg, 1.1 aces pg), Nayka Benitez (3.7 dpg, 1.0 aces pg) and Kendra Shauermann (2.0 dpg).
Salt Lake improved to 34-1 with a wins over Colorado Northwestern and College of Eastern Utah last week. The Bruins are led by Cinthia Silva (3.5 kpg), Samantha Richard (3.2 kpg), Talita Santos (0.9 bpg), Michaela Hanakova (10.6 assists pg), Morgan Lloyd (4.1 dpg) and Samantha Richard (3.2 dpg, 0.67 aces pg).
Blinn College improves to 22-0 this week with wins over Laredo and Navarro last week. The Buccaneers are led by Sabrina Daniel (3.4 kpg), Hayley Ball (3.3 kpg, 1.3 aces pg), Lina Vanegas (3.2 kpg, 1.9 bpg), Stefanie Robbins (1.0 bpg), Caroline Witte (11.5 assists pg, 1.0 bpg) and Sydney Milburn (3.7 dpg) .
