KILLEEN -- The A&M Consolidated Tigers overcame a 21 point first half deficit to beat the Ellison Eagles 28-27. The Tigers suffered two turnovers in the first quarter as the Eagles builtt a 3 touchdown advantage.
A&M Consolidated will cut the lead to 1 with 6 minutes left in the 4th quarter on the 55 yard touchdown pass from Dominic Preston to Wes Schill making it 27-26 Tigers.
Jim Slaughter will pull off a little trickery on the extra point. Marshall Cashion who rushed for 113 yards on the night will take it in on the fake extra point for 2 as the Tigers take their first lead of the game and hold onto win it 28-27.
A&M Consolidated moves into 2nd place in district 13-5A with a 2 and 1 record. The Tigers will now have 8 days to get ready for next Friday's crosstown showdown with the Bryan Vikings who are idle this week with a 1 and 1 district mark.
