Montgomery Finishes 2nd, Lady Tigers 3rd In Lady Bear Fall Tournament

MONTGOMERY -- The Lady Tigers completed their first tournament of the year in third place at the Montgomery Lady Bear Fall Tournament. Fort Bend Clements finished first and the host lady Bears were second. The two day scores for Consol were 346-357 – 703. Clements scores were 350-337 – 687 while Montgomery was
347-344 – 691.

“We struggled to really get it going today. The course was challenging, but we know we can do better. It will help us to identify and work on our weaknesses. I thought Casey play fairly consistently (though she might disagree). All the other girls showed flashes of what we are looking for, but it has to be on a much more consistent basis. We will go back to work on our short game,” said Lady Tiger Head Golf Coach -Mike Terral.

In medalist play, Casey Grice finished third with scores of 78-82. Complete scores for Consol were:

1. Casey Grice 78-82 = 160 (3rd)
2. Erin Jang 83-95 = 185 (12th)
3. Kim Gibson 96-89 = 185 (17th)
4. Shkihi Cheruku 95-91 = 186 (20th)
5. Haley Green 90-105 = 195 (35th)
Sarah Jin competed as a medalist and shot 103-97 = 200 (43rd)
The Lady Tigers will next compete at the Huntsville Invitational November 16-17
