A Very Brady Day

IRVING, Texas (AP) - Tom Brady threw a career-high five
touchdown passes and the New England Patriots won the early season
battle of the unbeatens by outscoring Dallas 48-27. The Cowboys'
loss leaves the Patriots and idle Indianapolis as the only
remaining undefeated teams.
The 6-and-0 Patriots started strong and finished stronger for
their sixth straight blowout win and their highest point total this
season. New England raced out to a quick 14-0 lead, withstood a
Dallas comeback that saw the Cowboys take a brief lead but then the
Patriots put it away by scoring 17 unanswered points in the second
half.
Brady hit Donte Stallworth on a 69-yard pass play that broke
open a tight game early in the fourth quarter. Brady completed
31-of-46 for 388 yards. Besides Stallworth, Brady hit Wes Welker
with two TDs. Randy Moss and Kyle Brady each caught a TD.
Brady has 21 TD passes. His five TDs tied a franchise record and
gave him an NFL record with at least three in each of the first six
games of the season.
