COLLEGE STATION -- Texas A&M defensive back Danny Gorrer tore his left anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) against Texas Tech on Saturday and will miss the rest of the 2007 season, Aggie head football coach Dennis Franchione announced on Monday.

Gorrer will undergo pre-operation rehabilitation before having surgery in a couple of weeks.

Gorrer is a junior from Memorial High School in Port Arthur, Texas. He has started every game this season at cornerback for Texas A&M and has made 24 career starts.
