Aggies Tied For Second At Oklahoma Intercollegiate

EDMOND, OK -- Freshman Ignacio Elvira carded an even-par 71 on Monday to lead Texas A&M into a tie for second place after two rounds of the Oklahoma Intercollegiate at Oak Tree Golf Club.

SMU (588) leads the Aggies (593) and Texas Tech (593) by five strokes going into Tuesday's final round.

Baylor is in fourth at 598, followed by Arkansas (601), Oklahoma (605),
Tulsa (619), Oral Roberts (624), Texas-San Antonio (626), Santa Clara (628) and Stephen F. Austin (645).

Tech's Will Griffin (69-74=143) and Arkansas' Jason Turner (72-71=143) are tied for the individual lead. Elvira (76-71=147) and teammate Bobby Gates (71-76=147) are tied for seventh.

A&M sophomore Andrea Pavan (79-73=152) is tied for 17th, while freshman Conrad Shindler (76-77=153) and senior Martin Piller (73-80=153) are tied for 21st.
