College Station -- A&M Consolidated held off Bryan 27 - 22 in a district 13-5A match-up at Kyle Field Friday night.
The Tigers jumped out to an early thanks to a Marshall Cashion seven yard touchdown run and a Dominic Preston to Wes Schill 41 yard touchdown pass. Bryan would get a second quarter field goal to cut the lead to 14 - 3 at the half.
The Vikings would turn the ball over twice in the third quarter. Consol would get 14 points off the miscues to push their lead to 27 - 3.
Bryan finds the end zone for the first time in the third quarter when Garrison Kickham connects with Gary Hammond for a 10 yard touchdown. Kickham would go back the air and hit Jaron Gentry with a 60 yard touchdown pass to cut the Tiger lead to 27 - 16. Bryan's final score came on a Kickham to Seth Wells touchdown toss.
The Vikings had a chance to drive for the winning touchdown but Spencer Sprague picked off a Kickham pass to seal the win for Consol.
The Tigers improve to 3 and 1 in district play. The Vikings fall to 1 and 2.
