The football game of the night in District 19-3A looked like an arena league score as Madisonville ran by Palestine Westwood, 63-to-48.
The hostilities got off to a disastrous start for the Mustangs as they spotted the Panthers a safety, then gave up a 50 yard touchdown run to D.J. Morrow making it 8-nothing.
It got worse for the 'Stangs before it got better.
Moments later D.J. Morrow scored from the 10 making it 14-0 Panthers in the first.
Still in the opening stanza, the Ponies put pedal to metal when Classroom Champion Kyle Morgan hit Chris Young, who bowled over defenders on his way to the 35 yard touchdown.
Just before the half, the home team established a pattern that would hold for the rest of the night when Chris Whaley barreled into the end zone from six yards out, pulling Madisonville within a point at the intermission, 22-21.
The teams would combine for six touchdowns in the third period alone.
Unofficially, Chris Whaley would pound out more than 400 yards on the ground while scoring six touchdowns.
The 63-to-48 result improves the Mustang mark to 6-&-1 overall, 2-&-0 in league play.
They will leave the Corral behind to travel to Palestine next week.
