The Bryan Vikings took care of business with a 21-to-7 win over Belton Friday night, with all three touchdowns for the home team coming in the opening quarter.
The Vike's head coach Bob Bellard said, " I couldn't be more proud of the kids in the first quarter, they played about as well as they could play. We have some injuries right now, we have two running backs out so we need to try to get healthy, but we got a win which is what we needed tonight."
The Big Blue now faces a quick turnaround before its next game, Bellard said, "We've gotta be ready to roll Thursday. We need a good session Saturday. We need to get some treatment done, get some good reports from the doctors, and hopefully be healthier for Thursday."
Bryan plays Harker Heights at Killeen's Leo Buckley Stadium Thursday at 7pm.
