College Station -- A&M Consolidated closed out their regular season with a 24 - 7 win over Harker Heights Friday night at Tiger Stadium.

The Knights had the first scoring chance of the game but Ryan Balentine was picked off by Andrew Fletcher in the end zone turning Harker Heights away. The game was scoreless after the first quarter.

Consol got the scoring started in the second when Dominic Preston hit Taylor Dudley with a twenty-one yard touchdown pass. The Tiger had a 6 - 0 lead. The Preston to Dudley connection works again in the second quarter for a nine yard touchdown. A two point conversion would give Consol a 14 - 0 lead at the half.

The Tiger push the lead to 17 - 0 before Harker Heights gets on the board. Balentine hit Jordan Menking with a 33 yard touchdown pass to cut the lead to 17 - 7.

Consol closed out the scoring with a Jarvon Searcy eleven yard touchdown run. The Tigers enter the post season riding a four game winning streak. Consol will begin their run in the Class 5A playoffs Friday November 16th against Round Rock at Round Rock ISD Stadium. Game time is set for 7:30.
