Vikes Keep Wolves At Bay

Bryan spotted Shoemaker an early lead, but the Vikings rallied to beat the Grey Wolves 49-to-28.

The visitors scored the first two touchdowns of the night but the Big Blue countered with a 30 yard touchdown pass from Garrison Kickham to Stan McGruder.

Then Monterell Washington scored from the 14 yard line to tie the game at 14.

Jameill Showers rained on Bryan's parade moments later..... keeping on the option play... and scoring from the 32.

At 21-14, it would be the Wolves' last lead of the night.

The first period took about an hour and featured 49 points by the two teams combined.

After the game Bryan head coach Bob Bellard said, " It was nice that we were able to put some points on the board, the 49 points were big for us because we've had a hard time getting that done. I know we're not going to feel very good about our defensive performance right now, but their skill people are pretty special, they made some big plays tonight, so give them credit."

The Vikings end the regular season at 6-&-4, 4-&-2 in District 13-5A.

Bryan will meet Stony Point in the 5A Division One playoffs Friday in Brenham.
