The Iola volleyball team fell one victory shy of a state championship.
The Lady Bulldogs fell to perennial power Windthorst in the Class A title match.
The Lady Trojans claimed the bragging rights, 25-13, 25-22, and 25-11, at Strahan Coliseum in San Marcos.
Windthorst won its ninth state volleyball championship in 11 years, and 12th overall.
Whitney McCorkle was named MVP of the championship match.
