Former Somerville coach Claude Mathis brought Austin LBJ to Bryan's Viking Stadium for the second year in a row, and this time his Jaguars bagged a 20-to-18 win over Brenham.
The Cubs collected a couple of safeties while the Jags got a 10-yard touchdown run from Derek Grant and a 7-yard td pass from Grant to Curtis Parks to make it 13-to-4 in the third.
Kyler Crenshaw's 55-yard pass to Brandon Smith pulled Brenham within two points midway through the third period.
LBJ answered with a 2-yard run by Curtis Parks to up the advantage to, 20-11.
Team Green scored the only points of the final stanza on Brandon Smith's 1-yard td plunge.
But Brenham never got any closer, and ends the season at 8-&-3.
