AUBURN, Ala. -- Auburn football coach Tommy Tuberville says he plans to remain with the school "as long as they want us here."
Tuberville said today he has no plans to leave for another job
despite reports linking him to a potential job opening at Texas
A&M. Tuberville said he hasn't met with athletic director Jay
Jacobs to discuss a contract extension but plans to do so next
week.
He has been asked repeatedly in recent weeks about reports
indicating he would take over the Aggies' program if Dennis
Franchione was fired. Franchione and the school have denied reports the two sides were negotiating a contract buyout.
