Geoff Blum Back with Astros

HOUSTON (AP) - Geoff Blum has agreed to a one-year deal with the
Astros worth 1.1 million dollars. The club holds an option for
2009.
The 34-year-old infielder played for the Astros in 2002 and '03.
His 14th-inning home run for the Chicago White Sox beat Houston in
Game 3 of the 2005 World Series.
Blum hit .252 with five homers and 33 RBIs for San Diego this
year. He appeared in 122 games, starting 55 at second base. He also
saw time at the other three infield positions and left field.
In two seasons with Houston, Blum hit .241 with 18 homers and 87
RBIs in 235 games.
