Navy Knocks Off Army

BALTIMORE -- Navy's recent domination of Army has continued
with a 38-3 rout in Baltimore.
Reggie Campbell had a school-record 98-yard kickoff return for a
touchdown as the Midshipmen won their sixth straight against Army
to improve to 52-49-and-7 in the series. Campbell accounted for 227
yards, including 73 on punt returns. He also scored on a 12-yard
run that made it 31-3 with about 10 minutes left.
Zerbin Singleton scored Navy's first TD before Campbell's
kickoff return made it 14-3 in the second quarter.
The 8-and-4 Middies were held to 294 yards but still managed to
break the school record for points in a season with 479, eclipsing
the mark of 442 set in 1917.
Army junior Tony Dace set career highs with 28 carries and 104
yards. But sophomore quarterback Carson Williams was just 12-of-21
for 117 yards before he was pulled in the fourth quarter.
It was the fewest points scored by Army in the series since
1991.
The Cadets end the year 3-and-9.
