TULSA, Okla. (AP) - Tulsa accepts a berth in the GMAC Bowl
against Bowling Green after losing today in the Conference USA
championship game.
The Golden Hurricane (9-4) will be making its fourth bowl
appearance in the past five years after playing in only three bowl
games in the 37 years before that. The January 6th game in Mobile,
Alabama, will be played a day before the Bowl Championship Series
title game.
TU coach Todd Graham says the team is excited about going to the
GMAC Bowl. Graham says since it will be one of the last bowls of
the season, it will give the Golden Hurricane great national
exposure and allow them to play a great opponent.
Tulsa could tie the school record of 10 wins with a victory over
the Falcons (8-4).
