The Texas A&M football team has accepted a bid to play in the 2007 Valero Alamo Bowl December 29th in San Antonio. Texas A&M will face the Penn State Nittany Lions. This will be the Aggies' third trip to the Alamo Bowl and the first since 1999 when they lost to Penn State 24 - 0. The Ags finished the regular season 7 and 5 after their win over Texas. The Alamo Bowl will kick off at 7:00 December 29th and will be televised on ESPN. Texas A&M quarterback Stephen McGee said, “I think we are excited as a team for another chance to play a game together. We need to take care of our business and finish this season off right, especially for our seniors. Penn State is an excellent football team and you know Coach Paterno will have them ready to play. We’ve got final exams coming up and we need to do our best on those, then we can turn our attention to Penn State. I am excited to play in San Antonio because I grew up there. We had great support from the 12th Man last year in San Antonio and I would expect another great crowd.”
