HOUSTON -- Tracy McGrady scored 29 points and the Houston
Rockets shook off poor foul shooting to beat Detroit 80-77.
The Rockets won despite missing 14 of their first 15 free throws
and ending the game 6-for-22 at the line. McGrady missed all five
of his foul shots and Bonzi Wells was 2-for-9 from the charity
stripe. But the Pistons shot 36 percent from the field, allowing
the Rockets to win for only the third time in seven games.
Yao Ming had 21 points and 13 rebounds as Houston cooled off the
Pistons.
Rasheed Wallace had 21 points for Detroit, which had won eight
of its previous eight by an average of 20 points.
