HOUSTON -- Oklahoma assistant coach Kevin Sumlin is set to become the new head football coach at the University of Houston, according to a newspaper report.
Cougars athletic director Dave Maggard tells the Houston
Chronicle he's prepared to hire Sumlin tomorrow.
Sumlin has spent the last five years on Bob Stoops' staff at
Oklahoma, where he served as co-offensive coordinator the past two
seasons.
Sumlin would replace Art Briles, who resigned November 28th and
took over at Baylor.
