ROUND ROCK, Texas -- Jacquizz Rodgers piled up 240 rushing
yards and three touchdowns to lead Rosenberg Lamar past Copperas
Cove 20-14 for the Class 4A Division I championship.
Rodgers, who also had 12 tackles and recovered a fumble on
defense, finished with 42 touchdowns and a Texas career record of
136. He finished with more than 8,000 career yards for Lamar, which
won its first state title.
