WACO, Texas -- Garrett Gilbert threw for 357 yards and three
touchdowns to lead Lake Travis to a 36-34 win over Highland Park
for the Class Four-A Division Two state championship today in Waco.
The win gave Lake Travis (15-1) its first title in school
history, and Highland Park (15-1) lost its opportunity to become
the first Texas high school to record 700 wins.
