IRVING, Texas -- Charley Waldrep scored two touchdowns,
including the game winner, as Celina defeated China Spring 21-14
tonight to win a record eighth state football title.
Waldrep's three-yard run with 5:56 to play broke a 14-14 tie to
give the Bobcats (16-0) the Class Three-A Division Two
championship. Celina's second state title in three years was its
first since moving up to the Three-A level.
