MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Yao Ming and Luis Scola each had 22 points
as the shorthanded Houston Rockets earned a 103-83 win at Memphis.
Scola scored a season high for points while picking up the
offensive slack for Tracy McGrady, who missed the game due to a
sore left knee. Yao grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds as the Rockets
won for the first time in seven games in which they've played
without Yao or McGrady.
Shane Battier (BAT'-ee-ay) also had a strong game for the
Rockets, shooting 3-for-4 from three-point range and finishing with
18 points.
Pau Gasol (paw gah-SAHL') had a game-high 23 points for the
Grizzlies, who shot just 36 percent from the floor.
