Dolphins Have New General Manager

DAVIE, Fla. -- Cowboys executive Jeff Ireland is rejoining ex-Dallas coach Bill Parcells -- as general manager of the Miami Dolphins
Parcells today hired Ireland to replace Randy Mueller, who was
fired Monday after three seasons with Miami.
Parcells, who spent four seasons as Cowboys head coach, joined
the Dolphins two weeks ago as executive vice president of football
operations.
Still to be decided is the fate of Cam Cameron, whose job is in
jeopardy after going 1-15 in his first season as an NFL head coach.
Ireland spent the past three years as vice president of college
and pro scouting for Dallas.
He helped build the team that won the NFC East this season.
Before that, Ireland was an NFL scout for eleven years.
