Kansas Cornerback Talib, Tackle Collins To Enter NFL Draft

LAWRENCE, KS -- Kansas cornerback Aqib Talib and offensive tackle Anthony Collins are giving up their senior seasons to enter the NFL draft.

Both are first-team All-American selections by The Associated
Press this year.

Both were key members of the surprising team that beat Virginia
Tech in the Orange Bowl and finished 12-1 in the greatest season in
school history.

Talib returned an interception 60 yards for the game's first
touchdown and was named Orange Bowl MVP.

Talib says he made the decision after talking to his family and
to Kansas coach Mark Mangino.

Collins says he wanted to go out with his close friend Talib.

Kansas coach Mark Mangino had said he would support whatever the two decided.

Kansas now returns nine starters on defense next year and six on
offense.
