The Bryan boys' basketball team maintained its stranglehold on District 13-5A with a 76-to-55 win over Ellison Friday night at Viking Gym.

The Big Blue had things well in hand at the half with a 38-to-25 lead.

Chris Ellis nailed a fall away, falling down, seat of the pants, three-pointer that just beat the buzzer at the end of the third period to put the Blue Crew up 53-to-38.

Allyn Cookes led the Vikings in scoring with 26 points.

The district-leading Vikes are now 19-&-4 for the season and 6-&-0 in league play.

They are at Harker Heights January 25th.
