COLLEGE STATION -- George Bush, 41st President of the United States, will host Coach Mike Krzyzewski, Basketball Head Coach and Professor, Duke University, at a leadership forum on Monday, April 25, at 5:00 pm.
The forum, sponsored by the George Bush Presidential Library Foundation, has been moved from the Annenberg Presidential Conference Center to Rudder Auditorium on the campus of Texas A&M University to accommodate a larger audience. The President's Leadership Series brings various officials to the George Bush Presidential Library Center with the purpose of exposing the students at Texas A&M University and the general public to the leadership challenges and experiences that the officials have encountered.
Through interaction with current and past leaders, the series seeks to instill a dedication to public service and country in the true spirit of President Bush, who has called public service a noble calling. The series features individuals from the public and private sectors. President Bush is a frequent host and participant in the events. Winning seasons, superb graduation rates for his players, and a basketball team that is as close as family are all attributes that reflect on the man who recently completed his 25th year as the head coach of the Duke Blue Devils.
Twelve-time Coach of the Year, three National Championships and more NCAA tournament wins than any other coach all contribute to the reputation of Coach K as one of the top college basketball coaches of all time. In a rare move by Duke University, Coach K was named as a faculty member at Duke's Fuqua School of Business as part of The Fuqua/Coach K Center of Leadership and Ethics.
This is a ticketed event. Free tickets are available at the MSC Box Office on the campus of Texas A&M University, KBTX-TV, WTAW, The Bryan/College Station Eagle and the Bryan/College Station Chamber of Commerce. Seating is limited. For more information, please call 979-862-2251.
