WACO, Texas (AP) - Jhasmin Player is out for the season for No.
6 Baylor after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in her left
Player, who was averaging 12.2 points, 6 rebounds and 3.5
assists, was injured on a fast-break layup in the first half of
Saturday's 63-49 win over No. 18 Kansas State.
In addition to the ACL tear, Player sprained her medial
collateral ligament. Baylor said Player would undergo ACL
reconstruction surgery later.
