BRYAN -- Over the last 6 years Texas A&M Men's basketball fans have looked forward to the annual Texas Tech game at Reed Arena because they got a chance to watch legendary college basketball coach Bob Knight in action.

Last month Texas Tech beat the Aggies 68-53 in Lubbock as Coach Knight picked up his 900th career win.

The Aggies left for Ames, Iowa, this evening and upon landing KBTX Sports got this quote from A&M men's head basketball coach Mark Turgeon.

"Coach Knight was the greatest teacher the game of basketball has ever seen. He taught the game the way it was suppose to be played. I'm happy he's going out on his terms. I just wish he would have left with 899 wins."

The Aggies will host Texas Tech on February 27th and Coach Knight's son Pat who was named the designated head coach in 2005 will guide the Red Raiders that night.
