SAN ANTONIO -- Sam Houston State used inside scoring,
hitting nearly 60 percent from the field in a 70-54 victory over
Texas-San Antonio tonight.
The Bearkats (17-4, 5-3 Southland) had four players in double
figures and never trailed in the game.
Shamir McDaniel led his team with 13 points
Texas-San Antonio (8-12, 2-5) was led by Devin Gibson's 12
points. He was the only player in double figures for the
Roadrunners, who shot 35 percent from the field.
The Bearkats scored 52 of their points in the paint to only 20
for the Roadrunners, and won the rebounding battle 42-18.
