STILLWATER, Okla. -- James Anderson scored 16 points and
Oklahoma State ended a six-game losing streak with a 64-to-63 win
over Colorado tonight.
The Buffaloes (9-13, 1-7 Big 12) lost their sixth straight game
despite 22 points from Richard Roby.
Colorado rallied from a 9-point halftime deficit to tie the game
at 36-36 on two free throws by Roby with 10:13 left. But Terrel
Harris started a 9-to-0 run for OSU (11-11, 2-6) with two free
throws at the 9:06 mark in the second half. He capped the spurt
with a dunk that followed a steal and pass by Byron Eaton and put
the Cowboys up 45-36.
Cory Higgins pulled Colorado within 49-46 with a 3-pointer with
2:56 left, then Marcus Dove and Eaton each hit a pair of free
throws to make it 53-46.
Colorado chipped away at its deficit after that but came no
closer than one point when Marcus Hall launched a half-court heave
at the buzzer.
