BRYAN -- Tim Harris was the Most Valuable Player of the Class A State baseball tournament two years ago and today signed a national letter of intent to start his college baseball career at Galveston College.
Harris is not only a pretty solid pitcher having logged 227 strikeouts over the last 2 seasons, but carries a pretty good bat. Two years ago he hit a mammoth homerun against Union Hill in the class A state championship game, that was believed to have traveled 420 feet and is believed to be longest homerun hit in the history of Dell Diamond.
Tim will be reunited with his old Owl team-mate Scott Pasket who is a catcher for the Galveston College White Caps.
