IRVING -- Dallas long snapper L.P. LaDouceur has signed a five-year contract extension with the Cowboys.

The deal announced today puts the Montreal native under contract
through the 2012 season.

La Douceur, as a rookie free agent out of California in 2005,
went to training camp with the New Orleans Saints. He was signed by
the Cowboys in the fourth week of that season.

LaDouceur has played in 45 regular season and two playoff games
for the Cowboys.

He's snapped cleanly on 196 punts, 86 field goals and 122 extra
points, and has six special teams tackles.
