16 Aggies Take Part in Pro Day

COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- 16 Texas A&M football players took part in Pro Day at McFerrin Athletic Center today on the Texas A&M campus. All 32 NFL teams were represented and two head coaches made the trip to College Station. Aggie and Oakland Raider head coach Dennis Allen made the trip along with Jets head coach Rex Ryan. Aggie Aaron Glenn was also back in College Station. He is a scout for the Jets.

Texas A&M offensive lineman Luke Joeckel should be a top 5 pick in the upcoming draft and could go number one overall. The NFL will be held April 25-27 in New York City.

Among the NFL personnel on hand was former Texas A&M standout Dennis Allen, who is the head coach of the Oakland Raiders. Allen was a two-year starter at safety for the Aggies and is remembered for a game-clinching interception against the Texas Longhorns on Thanksgiving in 1993. Also making his return to College Station was Raiders defensive line coach Terrell Williams, who coached the Aggies’ DL in 2010-11. Other notables were New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan and former A&M All-America cornerback Aaron Glenn, who is a scout for the Jets. Representing the Cincinnati Bengals was defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer.
